Four clearly stated goals define Think Pink:
- informing and raising awareness
- financing scientific research
- supporting projects involving care and follow-up care
- defending patients’ rights
To be able to realise these goals, Think Pink has set up three funds:
The Beautiful Lengths Fund helps survivors who are struggling financially to purchase a wig or fashionable headwear.
The Share your Care Fund aims to pamper anyone who is suffering or has suffered from breast cancer, inside and outside the breast clinic.
The SMART Fund finances scientific research which looks into new methods for preventing, detecting and treating breast cancer, as well as into follow-up care.
Think Pink sports events
Think Pink deliberately operates without any government funding. The organisation funds its goals through the help of partners, sponsors, supporters and participants in its sports events. The Think Pink sports events are a conscious choice, as exercise is an important preventative measure for breast cancer, and plays a vital role in recovery during and after breast cancer treatment. By raising funds for their participation, participants raise awareness amongst the people close to them. With Bike, Run, Walk and Yoga for Think Pink and Race for the Cure®, Think Pink offers a broad range of events.

Defending patients’ rights: 9 clear priorities
Each year, Think Pink organises a national Round Table Conference on Breast Cancer. About thirty important stakeholders discuss different items in order to jointly determine the priorities for the year to come. Researchers, specialist doctors, nurses, government agencies, insurance companies, patient organisations and the pharmaceutical industry all take part in the debate.

Breast cancer comes in all shades of pink. At the recognized breast clinics we know them all.
Think Pink België organized in 2022, a project with the name “Breast cancer comes in all shades of pink. At the recognized breast clinics we know them all.”
They developed awareness campaign to emphasize the importance of treatment in a recognized breast clinic.
Breast cancer is a complex disease that requires specialized care. This care is guaranteed in a recognized breast clinic, which must meet a number of strict quality requirements. Multidisciplinary cooperation, weekly consultations, experienced and available team members, a minimum number of patients per year are just a few examples. With the aim of giving the patients the best possible chances during treatment and follow-up.
